Mutt Strut 2012
EVENT DATE: Sep 22, 2012
This past year, the Wood County Humane Society (WCHS) took in 621 animals and provided food, shelter and medical care. We found permanent, loving homes (or reunited lost animals with their owners) for almost 600 dogs and cats who would otherwise be left to roam the streets. Pets of people escaping domestic violence situations found temporary care in our Safe Pets Program. Our cruelty investigation officer responded to 235 complaints that would otherwise have gone unnoticed. Many presentations were given to school children and community groups throughout Wood County. And, we fixed owned animals through our SNIP program which helps Wood County residents cover the cost of spaying/neutering their pets. People like you make this possible.
Please help us continue to offer these services and programs by supporting one of our largest fundraisers, the annual Mutt Strut, which is a crucial source of funding for our non-profit organization.
This year, the Wood County Humane Society is partnering with CrowdRise to encourage the entire community to unite and fundraise for the Mutt Strut. Just imagine how many animals and pet parents we can help when we all come together to give back in a fun and compelling way!
Anyone can support the Mutt Strut by making a donation to the official Mutt Strut Charity Team (click here), or you can create your own "team" (personal fundraising page) by clicking here and encouraging your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors to sponsor you and your dog! The more you collect, the more you help the animals and the more prizes you win!
