Mountain States Children’s Home (MSCH) began in 1960 with the purchase of a 155-acre farm just north of Longmont on Highway 287. MSCH is a Residential Child Care Facility (RCCF) which provides services to children (licensed for 3 to 18 years old) who come from situations of abuse, neglect, abandonment and/or troubled family situations. We currently place children eleven to eighteen years of age who are not functioning well at home or at school.
Goals are created to help give balance to our children's lives through our successful programs.
The 4 Programs are;
1) A Family Model of residential care with children living in a loving, family environment.
2) A campus school helps children "catch up", an average of 3.77 years in one year in their education.
3) Counseling allows children to meet an 83% success rate from the Time of Placement to the Time of Discharge.
4) Children are presented with a faith-based foundation.
