God is not quarantined and therefore the ministry of MorningStar has continued this past month via Zoom, skype, phone and so many ways. We’ve also received emails, texts, and photos posted by individuals and families who take walks, go to pray, take time to be on the holy grounds of MorningStar during these challenging times! There continues to be a deep need for connection that even the best zoom sessions don’t reach. God is not quarantined and therefore MorningStar will reopen to serve our community. The grounds of the first and the thousandth Emmaus will reopen and continue the ministry for all kinds of retreats and faith formation programs. This time of social distancing has re-affirmed our call and our commitment to the mission of MorningStar! Though our income has been ZERO since mid-February our staff have continued to serve in faith that the work of God will be sustained. MorningStar Renewal Center is a spiritual renewal, faith formation and ministry action center rooted in the Roman Catholic tradition and owned by the Archdiocese of Miami. Its primary mission is to serve the people of God of South Florida. MorningStar provides facilities, resources, and programs that aid the process of spiritual growth, lifelong faith development, leadership as disciples, and ministry formation for the building up of the local church and the community at large. MorningStar Renewal Center is a place where doors and hearts are open to all people who seek and experience an awakening to God's continual call to conversion and eager to discern their response to it in the world.
