The need for more effective assessment and treatment of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in the American service member population is astronomical. The ineffectiveness of the currently accepted diagnostics and treatments are reflected in the fact that 22 veterans take their lives each day. New cutting-edge treatments that DO NOT include the use of prescription drugs, like those offered at Carrick Brain Center, are making a difference in the lives of veterans.
On April 12, 2015, Mike Day successfully completed a half Ironman in Florida, raising over $130,000 for service members and their dependents who are suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury.
Mike was honored with an invitation to race again in Kona this year at the Ironman World Championships on October 10th. He wants to use this opportunity to continue to raise money to treat service members on the 208 wait list at Carrick Brain Center.
