Edward Jones is celebrating the life of Ted Jones and his vision of serving clients by hosting a 9 city bike tour in Texas called the Tour de Ted – Ride the Lone Star. The Tour’s focus is to raise funds for cancer research. Region 241 of Northern Michigan has teamed up to find a cure for cancer and celebrate the lives of all of those touched by it. Funds raised in this San Antonio leg will go to Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Center, a unique and specialized research center at the University of Texas focused primarily on understanding pediatric cancer and the discovery, development, and dissemination of scientific knowledge relevant to childhood cancer.
Marc & Amy will ride in the San Antonio leg on October 16th to honor Marc’s sister, Martea, who passed in 2011 and also Amy’s best friend, Penny, who, because of important research and participation in a clinical trial, is winning the battle right now and will win for the second time. Equally important, this is all of our opportunity to honor cancer survivors, remember the people we’ve lost, and help raise funds for important cancer research. We have all been touched by cancer in some way. Please join us as we raise funds for the Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Center. On behalf of the hundreds of family members, friends, associates, and clients we thank you for your contribution to help battle cancer.
