Happy New Year: YOUR ROCK!

Hi! We are sisters Tanya and Natasha Bravo and we are challenging the status quo regarding how caregivers find relief from depression, anxiety and stress related symptoms. We watched our mother devote herself for 20 years to caring for our father with Alzheimer’s and now we are giving back to the people who give so much.
Medicine to Rock Your Soul brings together the Arts, Health, and Technology communities to create individualized programs offering relief to Alzheimer’s caregivers. We asked ourselves what if we combat the emotional and physical fallout of caregiving by connecting caregivers to artists and technology experts. What if we filled some of their days with music, film, dancing, visual arts and writing to help them rediscover themselves? What if we call upon the tech community for modalities like virtual reality to relieve symptoms of anxiety and depression? Could we draw from these communities to create medicine for the soul? Our answer: YES! Medicine to Rock Your Soul.
HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS We've teamed up with the Alzheimer's Association Southeast Florida Chapter to identify women who are long-term caregivers. We will expose caregivers to workshops in all areas of the arts, in order to learn what resonates with them. In the second half of the program, we will team caregivers with an Art Ambassador. They will be actors, dancers, writers, musicians and visual artists who will carefully curate outings to immerse caregivers in the cultural heartbeat of Miami and expose them to what makes them feel alive! We will team with Virtual Relief to provide caregivers with full virtual-reality immersion each week, which has shown to reduce blood pressure and feelings of stress.
Lastly, we will share the entire program via a short documentary and photo exhibit to reach the masses. Please help us bring MEDICINE TO ROCK YOUR SOUL to life with your donation
