The Mount Desert Island High School Music Boosters believe that we are all enriched by music both intellectually and culturally and all students should have opportunities to learn and perform music. To this end, the MDIHS Music Boosters support the many performance groups in our schools in several ways including, but not limited to, hosting festivals, performance events, and guest artists as well as fund-raising events and projects which in part, provide monies for lessons, trips, summer study and instrumnet purchase, upgrade and repair.

The Boosters work very hard to ensure that musical arts remain a strong presence not only in our high school but in all our schools as reflected in the priority music is given in the greater community and the recognition that the musical arts can be integral to success in both public school and life.
