One of the things I love about boxing is that there is always some aspect to improve upon - boxing is called the "sweet science" for a reason. This is also true in life, in my opinion - we are all fighting to get better at something, which makes boxing a metaphor for life. It is with this in mind that I have decided to participate again in the Fighters4Life Fundraiser. I am excited for the challenge of not only preparing for my 6th bout, but to improve upon my performance in my last bout.
This fight is a unique one for me in that this will be a rematch of my last bout. I respect that my opponent wants to continue working to be a better boxer and get back in the ring again. This is motivation for me to push myself each and every day at training.
I am again extremely lucky and grateful for Devon and Heather for training me. They continue to push me on a daily basis - I would not be where I am today if it was not for their efforts. I truly appreciate everything they do for me.
We will again be supporting the Give a Kid a Dream program. The team will surely put on another great event. I truly feel blessed to be able to support such a great cause.
I am looking forward to October 26th, the opportunity to fight again in Times Square and put on my best performance ever!
