LAST WEEK---BUT NOW THIS WEEK MESF is Ready
July 20, 2017
Almost 14 years ago, our lives were changed forever. All within the same week, our mother was diagnosed with a meningioma brain tumor and she died 4 days later. It was through this experience that we changed our hurt into help for others and the Mary E. Smith (M.O.M) Foundation, Inc./Memories of Mary, 501c3 charity was born.
Since our incorporation in 2008, we have funded $10,000 towards under funded clinical trials at Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute in Chicago. As well as giving away over $60,000 in scholarships and assistance for those affected by brain tumors.
Our students have gone on to matriculate at Princeton, University of Chicago, Northwestern, Loyola, Tuskegee, Xavier, Hope College, Texas Southern & Howard University to name a few. It is our hope that investing in our future leaders in medicine will bring new ideas to the forefront that will lead to a cure.
It is our hope that we don't have to turn a patient away that needs help paying for medical and living expenses. We don't want anyone to lose their homes while trying to save thier own life. It is with your help we can double our scholarship efforts and fund an additional $10,000 or more towards the latest research findings that will ultimately lead to a cure.
No one should have to lose thier mother, father, brother, sister, cousin, aunt, uncle or friend to this condition. PLEASE join us in our fight against brain tumors. Together, we will make a difference. DONATE TODAY!
