BENEFITING: KYLE PEASE FOUNDATION INC
EVENT DATE: Oct 22, 2017
I decided that 2017 was going to be a year of "Doing Hard Stuff". I would challenge myself, push the boundaries and invest in myself. The plan?
#1 - Complete my first Ironman | August 20th, 2017 | Completed 11:20
#2 - Raise money for the Kyle Pease Foundation by pushing a person with diabiliites
Sounds simple enough right? Well as Mike Tyson said, "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face"
My IT band and left achilles did not like my plan. Post Ironman I've been a wreck. I'll be candid - I haven't trained for a race. At all.
And the race? It is a full marathon - The Marine Core Marathon this Sunday Oct 22nd.
I've never pushed a person with disabilities before. I've only run one marathon. And it was in the Ironman last month. I'm highly unqualifed.
Do you think my wheelchair athlete, Dontavious "Big D" Ridley, wants to hear of my nagging injuries? NO.
This isn't about me. This is about him. It's about a great foundation helping person's with disabiliites meet their needs through sports. It is about honoring a promise and keeping my word.
Now I'm asking for your help. I ask that you please make a 100% tax deductible donation to The Kyle Pease Foundation. And do it today.
It's easy. You donate. And I'll gut myself out this weekend in DC. I promise.
You can learn more about the foundation and our race at Marine Corps here: http://www.kylepeasefoundation.org/new-events/2016/3/8/marine The Ability Experience is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. With your support, other individuals will get to participate in road races. Every dollar helps and is 100% tax-deductible! You donate. We do the hard stuff. Let's roll.
