BENEFITING: MAKE-A-WISH CENTRAL NEW YORK
ORGANIZER: MAKE-A-WISH CENTRAL NEW YORK
EVENT: The Boilermaker 2015
EVENT DATE: Jul 12, 2015
For the third year, I have signed up to run the Boilermaker on behalf of Make-A-Wish Central New York.
I am a member of the Make-A-Wish of Central New York's Young Professional Advisory Council as well as a wish granter and proud to be raising money for such a worthy organization.
This year, I will be running with my Aunt Aileen (who was always "all about the kids") on my mind and in my heart, but also for my first Wish-Kid Molly. Molly's wish was the first wish I helped to grant. She was a fun, spunky 13 years old who wished to go to California to meet her favorite Youtube Stars. Unfortunately, a few months after Molly and her family got back from their to Vidcon Molly passed away. Her mom said Molly spoke of her trip every day and that the family would have the memories to cherish forever. The comment that spoke the most to me was when Molly's mom said that Make-A-Wish allowed Molly to cross something off her bucket list. Working on Molly's wish was an amazing expirence, I'm looking forward to many more wishes in the future!
Thank you so much for your support!!
