BENEFITING: National Kidney Foundation of Arizona
EVENT DATE: Oct 13, 2018
Macy Bonnett is 11 years old and a 6th grader at Arizona School for the Arts. Her precocious demeaner was evident at an early age. Her favorite thing to do is to perform for others. She’s taken voice lessons from the very talented Nina Cole Garguilo since she was 7. She has taken dance classes at Bricks Studio beginning with the “mommy and me class” at one and a half years old, and then tap, ballet, jazz and tumbling as she has grown. Her acting coaches, Jan and Garth Williams, at Almost Famous Theatre Company and Renee Werkheiser at Art and Sol have guided her and helped her earn roles in several local theatrical productions. Some of her lead roles include Baby June (Gypsy), Annie (Annie Jr.), Jane (Peter Pan) and Small Alice (Alice In Wonderland Jr.). She was invited and attended Broadway Artist Alliance in NY City for more theatrical training. Macy has had the honor of singing (solo/a Capello) the National Anthem at various sporting events through ASU and also the Arizona Diamondbacks. Without self-discipline, motivation and success in her studies, she wouldn’t be able to succeed in these extra-curricular areas. In the future, she would like to shoot for the stars, because it’s what makes her the happiest. She hopes to make a difference for others by participating and performing at the National Kidney Association of Arizona’s Talent Slam 2018.
