BENEFITING: AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION OF THE NORTHEAST
ORGANIZER: AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION OF THE NORTHEAST
EVENT DATE: Nov 01, 2015
I am running in the NYC Marathon on Nov 1st in memory of my father, Joe Curcuru, who lost his fight with lung cancer in 2011. There is no specific monetary goal, because I already have guaranteed entry. But please give if you can to this terrific cause. I cherish every moment I got to spend with my father, but wish I could have had more.
The last time I ran in the NYC Marathon was in 2011, 6 weeks before my dad passed. I injured my knee half way through, but continued on to see him at the finish line. My dad was the most inspirational person in my life and he was one of the most giving. I can think of no better way to honor him.
Thanks and love,
