We rescue dogs and cats in St. Charles, St. Louis County and rural areas in Missouri from kill shelters, strays, owner surrenders and occasionally from puppy mill/breeders. We provide safe and loving foster homes, age appropriate vetting, spay/neuter, microchip and then adopt each of them to amazing families.
We have rescued over 370 dogs and 80 cats in the first 1 1/2 yearswe've been a licensed rescue. We have taken in 10 dogs with heartworms, 27 puppies with parvo, dogs with broken hips, legs, and other debilitating injuries. Sandy, who was shot in the eye, Winter was shot in the foot where the bullet remains, and Saffron Kitty had a very rare intestinal intussusception which sadly took her life. Each and every animal we rescue has a story and we are committed to making that story a joyful one. We truly believe every dog and cat deserves a chance, regardless of their past. With your support, we can give them their happily ever after.
Our fundraising campaigns focus on the medical cases we have, like Holly, a 5 month old lab who was scheduled to be euthanized. We got her off the list with minutes to spare. Holly had a physeal fracture of her left femoral capital physis. She had a Femoral Head and Neck Osteoectomy. Leila is a Giant Danoodle with angular limb deformity in both of her front legs. She will need extensive surgery, costing thousands. Wayne is a dachshund who had emergency surgery to remove crystals and stones from his urethra, has severe dental disease and will need extensive surgery. Aura is a young mom of 2 adorable puppies who tested positive for heartworms and has a serious upper respiratory infection. Clarence was hit by a car and lost his leg; When we rescue dogs and cats, we take on the responsibility of all medical care, no matter the extent or severity. We are committed to the health and well being of all of our rescues and ensure they have every possible chance at a healthy, long life.
Lucky Chance Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit rescue organization. We are proud of the impact we have made over the last year and we could not have done any of this without our amazing fosters, adopters, donors, friends and family. We hope you join us on our journey of love, compassion, and hope for all of our rescue pets! Your support will help us save a life.
