BENEFITING: RAINBOW COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CENTER
EVENT DATE: Nov 29, 2016
Seasons are changing, and with that you know it's already cold and only likely to get colder! For many of us, this can be an exciting time of year where we are able to break out a new wardrobe, drink our favorite warm beverages or snuggle up near a cosy fireplace. However, for many this an extremely dangerous and grusome time. What would you be willing to do to make this winter season bearable for someone in need?
Would you give a blanket to help someone who is freezing with nowhere to sleep but outside? Would you give a warm plate of food to a pregnant mom who is trying to finish high school? Would you provide light for a child who needs to complete his/her homework? Would you give a place to bathe to a working adult with no place to stay?
We are working to provide these things and much more this coming winter season. Help us keep families from being evicted; keep the utilities on for households in need and give a warm hotel room stay for families who have been turned away from shelters that no longer have available space. Help us provide meals to those who are homeless or who have no means to cook meals because their utilities have been turned off. We provide food baskets to hundreds of households in need every week. More than just food, heat or comfort, we provide what everyone needs most, HOPE! Help us spread HOPE to those who need it most this winter!
