THE STORY:
Welcome and thanks for taking the time to visit my page!
I first learned about the Urban Assembly School for Law and Justice (SLJ) in 2004. Over the years I have coordinated and served as a member of the mentoring program, volunteered as a tutor on Saturday mornings, co-chaired young professional events and presently sit on the Jr. Board. To be in the halls and meet the SLJ students and staff, it's easy to see that SLJ is a really special New York City high school.
To mark SLJ's 10th Anniversary, the Jr. Board has commenced The 1000 FUTURE SCHOLARS Campaign.
It is really important to me to ensure that students are provided with equal access to education and to continue to work to close the achievement gap. I hope you will help me in my efforts!
