I am trying to raise funds to make care packages for people in need in the Chicago area.
I am gathering a team of other kids and adults to help bake, assemble and give out the care packages. After we make the package, we will go around the city and give out the care packages (C.P.). I have two ideas on how we could do this. One is that we, me and my team of givers, take one specific day and go around the city for 2-4 hours handing the care packages to people in need. My second idea is that we keep the C.P.s in the car for 2-4 days and give them as we see people who need them.
I was hoping we make 50 care packages. In each package we hope to include: some homemade cookies (baked by us) mini pumpkin or zucchini bread loafs/muffins (baked by me or members of the team) an apple a bottle of water, a pair of gloves, a mini toothbrush & tooth paste, $5-$10 to purchase a warm meal or whatever else the person might need, and a note from me and the team with a warm message. I have saved my allowance all year. My mom said she'd match my savings and a little more to help with the cash gift. We (me and my team) are doing the purchasing, baking and assembling.
What we need from you is financial help purchasing the supplies for each package. We'll do all the rest. Me and my team -- my brother Julien, friends, cousins, my Nana (My Grandma), my aunts, & my parents-- are thinking we will assemble these packages over Thanksgiving (November 27, 28 or 29) or the weekend after on that Saturday or Sunday, December 5th or 6th.
I hope you can help!
