Ainsley's Angels of America is super excited to be spreading awareness through activism and to celebration!
Liam has discovered a love for racing! Liam was born with hydrocephalus. He has endured over 150 brain surgeries, multiple othorpedic surgeries, and survived sepsis twice. He has inspired a fund raising effort for the local Rady Childrens Hospital so other kids would have better outcomes from brain surgeries. Team Liam has done the Carlsbad 5000 peoples walk every year for 16 years. Liam has been pushed in wheelchair, has been on a stretcher and has missed it because he has been hospitalized. This year he borrowed a blade from his friend Cormac and his running buddy Ty Godwin from "Irun4Michael" group who came from Colorado to run with Liam. This year Liam ran a 7:30 pace with his buddy Ty and he was hooked on running! Liam is blind, has cerebral palsey and is unable to walk. He fell in love with the wind and sun in his face. Our hope is he can have his own blade with a personal goal of doing a marathon with either his running buddy or his auntie. Liam loves music and strums ukulele. He has many friends and he is a happy dude. But his face on race day was so joyous and unlike anything he has experienced before! Amazing!
