BENEFITING: ARMY RANGER LEAD THE WAY FUND
ORGANIZER: ARMY RANGER LEAD THE WAY FUND
Dear Family and Friends,
I wanted to let you all know that I have decided to run the NYC Marathon on November 6, 2016. I am proud to run through a charity spot on behalf of the Army Ranger Lead the Way Fund team.
The Lead the Way Fund, Inc. was established to raise funds in support of families of US Army Rangers who have died, have been disabled or who are currently serving in harm's way around the world. The 75th Ranger Regiment, also known as Rangers, is an elite light infantry/special operations force of the United States Army. The regiment is the U.S. Army's premier raid force, with specialized skills that enable them to perform a variety of missions.
Lead the Way Fund provides spouses and children of deceased, disabled and active duty Rangers with assistance for health and wellness programs and other financial aid programs. Lead The Way Fund was established in Honor of Sgt. James J. Regan, who was killed in Iraq while serving with Charlie company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment.
As part of this membership on the Army Ranger Lead the Way Fund team, I'm being asked to raise a total of $3,000. However, I am attempting to raise a total of $5,000 for this incredible foundation.
This race is a lot more than a marathon. It gives us an opportunity to honor the lives and sacrifices of our Special Operations warriors and their families who have given all. I am asking you to assist this effort by contributing in whatever way you can. No gift is too small.
The Lead The Way Fund is a 501c-3 not for profit institution. Your contribution, received in consideration of no good or services in return, is tax deductible under applicable laws.

Thank you all so much. I am looking forward to this race and appreciate all of our support!
