Our Third Annual Dance-a-Thon Fundraiser is underway! The LAYC Dance-a-Thon is a dance and performance event to raise money for LAYC’s programs and services in Washington, DC and Maryland's Montgomery and Prince George's Counties. Groove to classic group line dances, top 40 of all eras, bachata, salsa, and more.
Top individual fundraiser: iPad Air 2 Gold 16 GB
2nd place individual fundraisers: $100 in gift cards
3rd place individual fundraisers: $50 in gift cards
How to Participate
Join a Team (Attending)
So you think you can boogie your way to lots of cash for deserving youth? Awesome! The LAYC Dance-a-Thon is championed by its staff teams. You can join any of our staff teams by clicking on a team name and then clicking on the DANCE AND FUNDRAISE button on your selected team’s fundraising page.
Donate to a Team/Individual (Not Attending)
You care deeply about our cause, but can’t make it to the event? No problem! Click on your favorite dance team below and then click the DONATE TO A DANCER'S TEAM button on their page. Give us a share on Facebook and Twitter with the #LAYCDanceathon to carry our cause a little further. Thanks for your support!
Good to Know
- The event will feature dance performances by local dance troupes, door prizes, and a raffle.
- Team members will enjoy morning refreshments.
- Children under 12 are welcome to attend with a team member for free.
- All teams are required to raise at least $30.00 per team member to partake in the Dance-a-thon.
