Chicago Marathon Post Race Recap
October 22, 2017
BENEFITING: Joslin Diabetes Center
EVENT DATE: Oct 08, 2017
I was diagnosed as a Type 1 Diabetic on the first weekend of October in 1985. Having now lived with the disease for more than 31 years, and having just celebrated my 50th birthday, I'm now feeling a real calling to do all in my power to raise awareness, educate and raise funds to help cure diabetes. I'm both excited and thankful to have been accepted to join Team Joslin, on behalf of the Joslin Diabetes Center, to run in the 2017 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. For the 30+ million people with either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, and the many millions more who are undiagnosed with the disease, I encourage you to make a donation of any amount to assist the Joslin Diabetes Center in their mission to cure diabetes.
Thank you so much!!
