And Why Not?
That is my new slogan!
I think about all the times I rode a train through the boroughs or drove through the Boroughs but I've NEVER run through the 5 boroughs so why not!!??????
I must admit that yes wasn’t exactly my first reaction to my brother's recent invitation to run the TCS NYC Marathon with him in support of Keep a Child Alive. But it was my second one, and I am so glad it was. (Of course, you'll have to remind me of this on some upcoming morning runs! ;))
Training for a marathon is challenging – it is time-consuming and tiring. But why not? Running for Keep a Child Alive, and getting to share this whole experience with you, makes it worth it. Together, we can reach even more lives affected by HIV in Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, South Africa, and India.
With each step I push through, we can help one more child living with HIV receive the medicine they need to make it to their next birthday. With each mile, we can ensure that a family eats a warm meal at night so the medicine is more effective. If you add that up with how many steps I’ll be covering over 26.2 miles of glorious New York City, that it a lot of lives we’ll be touching.
So please join me in supporting Keep a Child Alive with a donation. Why not?;-)
With love and gratitude,
Is running the TCS New York City Marathon
To help children and families living with HIV in Africa and India.
