THE STORY:

Let's Make Sleep Cool

Believing in the value of sleep, Project Sleep aims to improve public health by educating individuals about the importance of sleep health and sleep disorders. Project Sleep will educate and empower individuals using events, campaigns and programs to bring people together and talk about sleep as a pillar of health. 

Project Sleep is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization raising awareness about sleep health and sleep disorders. Our programs include:

SLEEP WALK event series across the country
JACK & JULIE NARCOLEPSY SCHOLARSHIP 
NARCOLEPSY: NOT ALONE international campaign

Join Project Sleep to SLEEP IN for sleep health and sleep disorders during National Sleep Awareness Week. Challenge yourself to stay in bed a certain number of hours over the weekend of March 6-8, and ask your friends and family to sponsor your SLEEP IN to benefit Project Sleep.

Some people run or walk to fundraise, but why not receive support and encouragement to SLEEP IN?

Whether you are a sleepy teen, person with a sleep disorder, supporter, sleep professional or sleep enthusiast, your SLEEP IN matters. Use your voice, and your bed, to shed light on the night. There will be prizes for top fundraisers and spirited participants.

By participating in Project Sleep’s SLEEP IN, you will be joining an international movement of people looking to make peace with sleep.

How long should I participate in the SLEEP IN?
Consider at least 12 hours, but longer participation is encouraged. Make your SLEEP IN work for you.

Example SLEEP IN schedules:
12 hours - Friday 10pm – Saturday10am
18 hours - Friday 10pm – Saturday 2pm
24 hours – Saturday 12noon – Sunday 12noon
36 hours – Friday 10pm – Sunday 10am
48 hours – Friday 10pm – Sunday 10pm

Project Sleep will be in bed all weekend, empowering sleep advocates and connecting with participants around the world via social media (#SleepIn). Kendall Patrick and the Headless Bettys will perform a special SLEEP IN performance via Google hangouts on Sunday March 8th, 2015.
