Pat Tillman is someone you met and never forgot. His personality was that huge.
Because of the ultimate sacrifice Pat made for our country, millions of Americans now know his name and more about his life, principles and service.
I met Pat when he was a senior at ASU and I worked in the athletics communications office. He often stopped by on his way to football practice, to field the latest interview request or find out whether opponents had talked smack in the press.
In the 10 years since his tragic death, the impact of Pat's courage and leadership has been truly remarkable. You see it in the nearly 300 Tillman Military Scholars and their commitment to create positive change. He continues to inspire so many young leaders.
I'm grateful to Pat and the tens of millions of U.S. military veterans (like my dad) who've sacrificed for our safety and freedom. In my first Pat's Run, I hope to convince 10 people to donate $10 to the Pat Tillman Foundation. Please help me raise scholarship funds for our service men and women.
Thank you for honoring Pat’s legacy, and "Go Devils!"
