JOURNEYS | The Road Home is building a new building and...WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The current 8,000 square foot facility and parking lot at 1140 E. Northwest Highway in Palatine

The new 24-hour facility will include:
1st floor: Supportive services center for long-term case management, primary healthcare,
substance abuse treatment, vocational development, ongoing food assistance & more
2nd floor: Year-round shelter site with separate accommodations for men, women & families
3rd floor: Onsite permanent affordable apartment units
JOURNEYS | The Road Home is the only all-inclusive homeless service agency providing a
comprehensive and therapeutic Continuum of Care to anyone experiencing a housing crisis in 37
communities across north/northwest suburban Cook County. All 60+ supportive services are provided
to clients at no cost and the mission, in its 30th year of service to the suburbs, operates without a dime
of federal funding—a testament to the tremendous base of support received from individuals,
foundations, faith communities, schools, civic groups and corporations.
To increase the capacity to accommodate the growing demand for emergency and ongoing assistance
throughout the region, the agency has launched its Building for Hope capital campaign to construct a
year-round, 24-hour, comprehensive three-story facility which will enable all clients, especially those
with unique needs and challenges, to streamline their journey to stability by receiving on-site critical
supportive services, shelter and permanent housing.
