Why Fuck Cancer? Well, in November 2010, 4 days before my 34th birthday, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Whoa. Talk about a game-changer. A few weeks after my diagnosis, I found Fuck Cancer - and my life hasn't been the same since. From the moment I put on my Fuck Cancer shirt, I knew I wanted to do whatever I could to help FC and to make a difference in scary place that is cancer.
Months later with chemo's end on the horizon, somehow - by some divine intervention maybe, the cancer diagnosis I received months earlier became like an odd, unwelcomed gift - I became a team member of FC.
I know first hand what FC means to a cancer patient and with the death in October of a dear friend who had been just diagnosed this past spring, I know the good FC does everyday to support those who need it - no matter what part of this place they are in.
Help me, help Fuck Cancer continue to make this difference in a place that can be scary, confusing and at times condescending.
Fuck Cancer indeed.
Thank you tons and tons in advance (don't make a fool out of me),

Alright, listen up. I'm determined to win this Firefox Challenge so that Fuck Cancer can keep up their amazing work. If we raise the most out of all of the fundraisers here, we'll win a $50,000 donation from Mozilla Firefox that will go directly to Fuck Cancer.
Read about the cause below, show your support and donate. Even better, click CREATE YOUR OWN FUNDRAISING PAGE and join my team to help fundraise. If you join, I'll give you invisible air kisses through the computer screen. It'll be great and if we win, it'll all be worth it.
A little bit about FC:
Fuck Cancer is a movement that educates people about early detection, prevention and communication of cancer. They partner with influential brands, thought leaders and celebrities to create provocative campaigns that activate Generation Y to find cancer when it's most curable.
Last year, Fuck Cancer created approximately 1 billion educational resources a new interactive website and launched a host of campaigns with kick-ass organizations like Women's Health Magazine, Men's Health Magazine and Funny or Die. In 2012 alone, they increased traffic to their educational content by 11,000%! This charity is moving fast and in the right direction. They listen to their community and make a meaningful impact not only on the cancer space, but on the lives of their supporters. In 2013, they'll build tools and resources that support the emotional side of cancer, not just the physical. But to continue to do the bad-ass things they do, they need our help. That's why I'm backing them in the Firefox Challenge. They only fundraise once a year so now is your chance to get involved.
Here's how you can help:
1. Donate, join my team, and help me raise money and win $50k for this important cause. Also, I want to be Champion of the World, this gets me one step closer.
2. Tell the world about Fuck Cancer. Tell your friends. Tell your family. Tell anyone that's willing to listen.
3. Get schooled on cancer here.
Early detection is the only cure that we have.
Humor is kind of a big part of my life, and this awesome charity uses humor to teach people really important shit about cancer. I like it, you should too. Join my team and help win $50,000 for Fuck Cancer.
