My husband John has recently been diagnosed with colon cancer. It started with a routine colonoscopy that showed a polyp. The doctor removed the polyp and said it wasn't cancerous but had to send it to pathology as a legality. The results were immediate and showed cancer. He had surgery to remove a section of the colon where the polyp was. They also removed some lymph nodes to make sure it hadn't spread. Well, it did. Now he's going to have to have chemotherapy for 6 months. Even with insurance, the bills are mounting and he will be missing quite a bit of work. He's been such an encouragement to others, now I want to get as many people as I can to help encourage him and just concentrate on getting better, not on all of the bills. Since being diagnosed, I wanted to do a fundraiser. When talking to him about it, he wanted something where people didn't just donate money, he wanted something where people would get something for their money. I set up a T-shirt fundraiser. Many have asked how they can donate without buying a T-shirt. You can't just make a monetary donation, you have to buy a T-shirt first. That's why I'm doing this fundraiser, so people can donate without buying a T-shirt. I want to make this journey for him as easy as possible.
