BENEFITING: WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT
My dad, a veteran of the US Navy who served on the U.S.S. Coral Sea, passed away WED August 20th, 2014 - he was 71 years old. The medical care he received was primarily at the VA hospital in Seattle, WA. When he passed he did not die in the service of the VA but at Tacoma General Hospital (a private hospital) because the VA hospital was not able to accommodate his needs.
We all know, and have seen the coverage, that the VA has not adequately taken care of our Vets - the system has failed. I have seen this first-hand with the difference in quality of care my dad received through the VA throughout the years and more acutely the difference in care in his final days in private hospitalization.
In honor of his memory, of having served his country, and in honor of the thousands of vets out there who still need our help please consider donating any amount you feel is appropriate. These funds are tax deductible and will be given to the Wounded Warrior Project, enabling the help of thousands of injured warriors returning home from the current conflicts and to provide assistance to their families.
