JLA Trust's Special Needs Trusts allow people with disabilities to be lifted out of a life of poverty, giving them peace of mind, financial security, and a higher quality of life instead of being solely dependent on government benefits and programs.

Since stay-in-home orders went into effect in LA County in mid-March, JLA Trust has risen to the challenge of ensuring that all of our clients have access to the resources and accurate information they need to stay safe and optimize their well-being.

For David, a brain-injured veteran, we spent the extra time and effort to make sure his discharge from rehab back to Assisted Living went smoothly and kept him safe from COVID-19.

For Debbie, a 65-year old single dialysis patient (of more than 12 years), we’ve worked to ensure her groceries and other vital medical supplies can be delivered to her home.

We place our clients’ needs front and center. That might mean advocating for InstaCart to accept the TrueLink VISA cards they use, or it might mean providing up-to-the-minute information on the stimulus checks for many who depend on them.
