Jeff ' s campaign to raise awareness of brain cancer
Organized by: Jeff Nelmes
Two years ago I was riding with my father one of the sweetest and kindest souls I ever knew. I began to notice he was drifting towards the left side of the road and didn't seem to be aware. I kept having to remind him to get over. So I asked dad are you having trouble seeing? Being the proud man he was he said no just had his mind in other places. Well one month after that he had a routine physical and the doctor after doing some physical examinations sent him straight to have CAT scan done. Then the news came he had several inoperable tumors they had become too intertwined into his brain. I had a conversation with my dad and it turns out he likely had some symptoms for months if not a year. He like most ignored them because for the post part they seemed inocious. I Want to build awareness of this killer among us. If we can get brochures made up and placed in local doctors offices, mailers printed up and mailed out to right demographics we might have a chance to save lives. If we can get peole to see and understand that these may not by inocious sysmtoms. It's going to take money to research the demographics to reach the target audience, and get fliers/brochures printed up. I don't want another family have to watch their loved one slip away when in some cases it is curable if caught early.
