Dear friends, in less than two weeks I will participate in the Ironman Florida. This competition is a long triathlon that will see me swimming for 2.4 miles, biking for 112 miles and finally run for 26.2 miles. On the 4th of November 2014, my dad died of pancreatic cancer. There's no need to explain how was the path from the diagnosis to his death, it was painful, sad... a series of different emotions, tears, laughs, smiles of hope were all in the same mixer. This year, on my dad's anniversary, I will attempt to finish a full Ironman. This year has seen lots of ups and downs and my training season has not gone as expected (let's say that I didn't train at all). This time there's no time goal, there's only a finish line to reach and cross. Dears, I ask you to support Project Purple to fund more research to end pancreatic cancer or at least to find better diagnostic tools, better treatments. Research as you know needs us, needs our support. Please donate to Project Purple.
