In Memory of Debbie Lake - Trixie Strong
Organized by: Tammy Brintzinghoffer
"Love, Laugh, Always Tell the truth and Be Thankful!" Debbie Marks Lake, 43, passed away at the Capital Health Medical Center and went Home to be with our Dear Lord, October 25th, after fiercely battling cancer for 3 ½ years. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Michael; her children, Matthew and Ava, her greatest joys! Born in Philadelphia, PA, she lived in Ewing, NJ, and for the past eight years had resided in Robbinsville, NJ. She graduated from Ewing High in 1990. She attended La Salle University on a soccer scholarship and graduated magna cum laude and earned a master's in management information systems in 1999. Debbie had been employed by Johnson and Johnson for 21 years. Her love for soccer and her eagerness to inspire other athletes led her to coach several teams, both girls and boys, in Ewing and Robbinsville to help others through coaching youngsters and give back what she had been taught. She was beloved by her teams and their parents for her fairness, and her motivational coaching skills. Debbie's zest for life led everyone she knew to aspire to their full potential and to appreciate life to its fullest. She was always fighting for the underdog, figuratively and literally; she rescued her devoted Lab, Tazz, and her cat, Katie, and supported animal rescue organizations. She lived each day according to her philosophy of life which was: "Love, Laugh, Always tell the truth and Be Thankful!" We are looking to set up a scholarship fund in her memory for children Matt & Ava; her pride & joy.
