Hello Earth-izens... I come from Indonesia and there has been fire and smoke in over 5000km area, babies, mothers, animals, pretty much the living beings are dying because of that. Not to mention, Indonesia is also the biggest coal exporter in Asia. We are also in archipelago country, so climate change really affects the essential livelihoods. I don't think it's enough what local and international organizations have done here in Indonesia. Climate change is a complex matter. Using too much plastic can cause climate change, the dirt will leave footprint, using motor vehicle will also leave footprint, so many other small things that we need will leave footprint. But we can't live without that. What we can do is to reduce what we can, cut or stop what we can, and try to leave as sustainable as we can on almost every part of our lives. Climate change also affects so many sectors; forestry, ocean, food supply, health, etc. Looking at strength that we have on youth, we think that it would be good if there is this one platform, we name it as Indonesia Youth Climate Society. This platform would be a media where practitioners, educators, and all other opinion leaders coming from different communities and organizations, sharing each other about their projects, their will, and what support they need from others, with the hope that we can maximize the actions from all sides. Not to mention to build skill and knowledge on the youths who have willingness to create something in their communities. And maximizing all of these activities online! And to succeed on this, if you trust on me and the team, if you want to see a change, we need you to help supporting to process operational to approach people to work together on this, to be ONE, and combat this issue together. I hope this can give you a picture of what we are going to do. Please contact me to firstname.lastname@example.org or +628988314993 for more information. We are also supported by 350.org and ECO Singapore. Thank you so much for helping out!
