Cole's Mitzvah Project- Aiding children of Rajasthan
March 06, 2018
For my mitzvah project, I am raising funds and awareness for the school children in India to help give them a healthy lunch every day. The Pillar of Impact project I have chosen is a food project to provide a year of healthy lunches for the children in the Northern Desert state of Rajasthan. The children are facing crisis of all kinds. I have worked with charities like Communities in Schools and ThreeSquare, which are raising money for at risk children in Las Vegas, which have inspired me to take matters into my own hands and take initiative in raising awareness about these issues in India.
I was also given the opportunity to go to WE Day this past year in Vancouver and it was one of the best experiences of my life. WE is a nonprofit organization that helps countries like India with issues like this. WE was started by brothers Marc and Craig Kielburger who have inspired me to take initiative and do what I believe in and help out my global and local community as much as I can. I am also doing a fundraiser for WE to help raise money to give the school children of Rajasthan a healthier lunch, which will lead to a brighter future.
Lastly, I would like to ask that if you wish to give me a gift for my Bar Mitzvah that instead you donate money to my Fundraiser and please help me reach my goal and try and give kids a chance to suceed. Thanks, Cole
