Imagine Acts Ministry (IAM) , a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was founded in 2007 and has been serving the nation of Uganda for 13 years. In 2014, IAM established a small clinic in a poverty-stricken area of southern Uganda near the Tanzania Border in October of 2014. Shalom Medical Clinic was founded by two Ugandan doctors, Dr. Dan Ssempanyi and Dr. Namutebi Roy and IAM administrator Lutwama Henry. In the following years, the need for a larger facility with expanded services was undeniable and plans for expansion began. Land was purchased and construction of a 24bed hospital began in January of 2020. The hospital will have an operating theatre, an emergency room, a critical care room and a spacious maternity wing. Shalom hopes to open its doors in October of 2020 and IAM is raising funds now to fully equip and furnish the hospital.
