About IBSA, Inc.

IBSA already provides numerous services throughout the Topeka area, but it's time we expand. Not only can we dramatically increase the assistance we provide small businesses, but at-risk and disadvantaged youth need more safe places to socialize. With your donor support, we will provide that place, giving Topeka youth & young adults a place to learn important life and employment skills.

For over 20 years IBSA has proven to be a leader in helping those living at the lower economic strata;reach a higher plateau in life.

To help our community meet the unmet challenges facing disadvantaged youth and their parents, IBSA is determination to secure the building we have occupied for over 20 years. 629 SE Quincy, and the adjacent buildings on 7th Street between Quincy and Kansas Avenue; Building 112-114, 116, and 118 SE 7th.

The Vision ...

Onsite Programs, Skill Training, Technology Hub

#1– 118 SE 7th

The Youth Development Center (YDC) is the most exciting addition for IBSA. It will give at-risk and disadvantaged youth (ages 12-20)  a safe haven where they can socialize while participating in leadership, academic and social development activities. The YDC will also house:

  Meeting Rooms  - Classroom

  Reading Room  - Computer Lab

  Social Lounge  - Lobby Area

  Study Area  - Game Room

Students attending the YDC will have the opportunity to learn valuable employment and life skills from role models in the community. They will also have the chance to build marketable skills, helping them earn and keep good paying jobs in the future.

#2-116 SE 7th

This location will provide a home for other non-profit organizations helping to reach disadvantaged youth and adults in Topeka from one convenient location. Here you will find transitional housing for youth about to leave foster care or single parents ready to move to public housing or low income home ownership.

These apartments will give those who need it a comfortable place to temporarily live with access to professional services, assistance and workforce training directly across the street.
