IAGS HOLI 5K WALK/FESTIVAL 2017
EVENT DATE: Jun 10, 2017
IAGS teens and Teen Committee members have been working hard to bring you our next fun filled event that raises funds for noble missions in the U.S. and India.
In keeping with the mission of IAGS, our teens have come up with a wonderful event that combines social, cultural, charitable and fitness goals. Please join us by participating, contributing, and encouraging our youth to meet these goals and help two noble charities in the process.
The Walk component, or Run for those that are inclined, promotes fitness and gives supporters the opportunity to make financial pledges. These pledges benefit the American Cancer Society and Asha for Education, two charities that support communities in the US and India, while donating over 80% of contributions directly to their respective causes.
Holi, which is an ancient Indian religious festival, also known as the festival of colors, encompasses the social and cultural goals of the event. The festival is said to signify the victory of good over evil, and the arrival of Spring.
