Donors are invited to participate in the Hunter's Holiday Season fundraiser by making a tax-deductible contribution, now thru December 18th, to the Hunter Foundation Fund at the Community Foundation of NJ. Funds collected will be used to support charities that operate hunger relief programs and/or food pantries for homeless families or families in need.
On Giving Tuesday, December 1st, Wendy Williams-Hunter, husband Kevin Hunter, and their son Lil Kev, kicked-off the fundraiser by hosting a holiday dinner for families residing in New Community's Harmony House, a 102-unit transitional living facility in Newark, NJ. Nearly 180 people and over 20 volunteers attended the dinner. Families enjoyed a hearty meal and each child received a toy. Harmony House provides temporary housing, in individual apartment units, and operates an early learning center for young children. The center helps families move from homelessness to permanent housing and from dependency to self- sufficiency with a series of social services, and job training and job placement opportunities.
Join us in helping support families in need this holiday season.
