Since 1941, Humane Indiana has provided and supported the humane treatment of all animals. The not-for-profit organization has grown from a small garage by a few animal lovers, to what is now the animal shelter and Estelle Marcus Clinic in Munster. Our clinic offers discounted vaccinations, and spay and neuter services to Northwest Indiana residents who qualify.
The need for Humane Indiana and its services is apparent in the number of animals and families it serves throughout Northwest Indiana. In 2018, the organization reported 2,069 live shelter outcomes, 6,806 vaccinations, and 781 public surgeries. This wonderful work, would not be possible without the help of some very dedicated volunteers, who in 2018, donated a total of 28,892 hours of their time to Humane Indiana and its mission.
There is still much work to do, as the organization continues to grow and provide these very important services in support of animal welfare in our community. Your support help us to continue the good that we do in our community to help homeless pets find forever homes, promote and support pet health, and help pet owners in need. YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE in our mission to help the animals and the community. On behalf of Humane Indiana and the animals you help, we thank you.
