We engage with rural communities to solve the water and sanitation crisis in DR Congo.
Working side by side, learning from each other, respectfully, we bridge cultures while we:
-Build local capacity in the Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector with the right technology, skills and resources communities need to create a healthy environment for themselves;
-Transfer skills and knowledge to implement solutions to the crisis of widespread unsafe drinking water and environmental contamination resulting from poor hygiene practices;
-Promote better hygiene behaviors, such as washing hands and giving up open defecation;
-Manage projects from start to finish, staying as long as necessary to ensure the project's efficiency and sustainability.
At the end of a project, we strive to leave a community empowered with the technology, skills and knowledge they need to create a healthy environment for themselves that is sustainable.
