At Hochstein, our mission is simple: to provide excellent music and dance instruction to anyone who is interested - regardless of age, level of skill, background, or ability to pay. We aim to nurture and inspire each individual, and to welcome all to our community of musicians, dancers, and audiences.

Here are some examples of how your dollars make a difference:
$250 - one month of 1-hour lessons
$150 - 9 weeks of group classes for teens & tweens, piano 101 or voice
$100 - 9 weeks of Music Fundamentals for a child 6 mos to 8 years old
$75 - 5 weeks of piano kindergarten for grown ups
$50 - one month of instrument rental
$25 - one 1/2 hour individual lesson
$15 - one trial dance class
Why are we going to run/walk?
George Eastman was one of David Hochstein's most generous patrons, supporting his education and career, and later becoming a significant force in founding the Hochstein School. Because of George Eastman, Hochstein is grateful to continue its legacy of enriching the cultural life of Rochester and providing access to music and dance instruction, regardless of ability to pay.
Runners/Walkers: If you raise $50 or more by noon on Friday, August 30, Hochstein will pay your $20 race registration fee. To register for the race, click here. (Note: the registration fee goes up to $25 after Aug. 31.)
