My name is Maggie and I am a 10 year old rescue dog. My favorite thing in the world is hiking on a trail in the woods with my best friend. Since I'm getting on in my years but still very healthy and full of energy, I have decided to attempt to hike the Appalachian Trail. My best friend has been talking about it for a very long time and we have had many extended backpacking trips over the years. I know that I can finish the entire trail but I think she needs a little incentive. She really loves animals and so I would like to take this opportunity to invite everyone to pledge some of those pennies for each mile that I hike on the Appalachian Trail. The trail is 2190 miles so please remember even a penny a mile would be $21.90 for the whole trail! Pretty good math for a dog huh? Please pass this on, all proceeds will benefit animals like me who didn't have the greatest beginnings.
