The Story

EVENT DATE: Mar 18, 2017

We at the FEW love two things, the outdoors and helping our nation’s SOF Operators, the Valorous and the Combat Wounded.  We are excited to be putting on a hike that will allow a select group of volunteers to support our cause in a 20 mile hike along the Ozark Highlands Trail.  These hikers will put themselves to the test both physically and mentally as they raise money and awareness for the thousands of veterans who come home only to find themselves struggling to adjust to life outside of combat operations.  Statistics show more veterans are dying from suicide, 18-22 per day, than in combat operations and you can assist in our mission to save veterans, one life at a time.

The event will take place on March 18th, 2015 near Fort Smith, AR on the Ozarks Highlands Trail.  Hikers will arrive at the hotel in Fort Smith on Friday, March 17th for a reception dinner and a pre-hike briefing before hitting the racks.  We will leave from the hotel in early hours of the morning after a quick breakfast and will take a shuttle bus to the trailhead.  After the hike we will have a celebratory dinner and will depart Sunday morning.
