A job promotion is a good thing, right? Absolutely! Unless it comes at the absolute wrong time.

Due to Sabrina being a superstar rockstar goddess at her job, she received a big promotion. The only problem is that promotion required a move to the west coast of Oregon, from Cincinnati. If you are not up on your United States geography, those two places are on opposite sides of the country - 2400 miles apart. So again, where is the problem, you say? Well, after many years in the military, they decided that he would go back to school and finish his degree. That is where you find him now, a full-time student in his last semester, looking to graduate right before Christmas. I know, it still sounds like a winning scenario, right? Long term, absolutely. But short term, its a nightmare!

The company needed her out there ASAP, which means they had to pack up everything and prepare for a move at the beginning of October. This meant pulling the kids, a senior and a freshman, out of their schools at midterm of the 1st quarter. Because of his own school situation, he is forced to stay behind until the very last exam is over, one week before Christmas. He receives funds from the VA for school, but its not much. His part-time gig, driving their car for Uber, went west with the wife and kids. Due to the lease they now have to maintain 2 households, with the new one being twice as expensive as the old one, and he is essentially unemployed for now. They also have to find a new doctor for the young one, as he is a survivor of childhood cancer but his vision took a hit and he is legally blind. There are numerous other costs associated with a cross-country, holiday season move that is stressful and taxing. Sabrina has to handle all of this on her own, with no friends or family, a husband on the other side of the country, all while working getting accustomed to her new position and working countless hours for the company.

Long term, they will be fine. But in the short term they could use some help. What I am asking for is a little help to possibly allow them to be able to buy plane tickets to bring them home for Thanksgiving, or for him to fly out there. Also, to help with some of the other expenses that have already come up and will come up between now and then.

You don't have to give much. You don't have to give anything at all. But if you CAN, any little bit helps.

Thank you so very much for your time and consideration!!
