Asking for help is very hard! We just need a hand up to help us get back to where we used to be. Life is full of unexpected things and that's See More

Hello we are the Coots family. At age three our daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. As a mother learning all of these new ways to keep our daughter alive and healthy I had to quit my job and stay home with her. Her disease has been a constant battle. So bad that once she started school I was needed to help with her. I don't live close enough to the school so I started volunteering. I couldn't afford to drive out there five times a day or how ever many times I was needed and every second counts in an emergency low. About a year or so my husband started having medical problems. He was found to be Type 2 Diabetic. It was long after he kept having these huge spots come out on him. The doctor would call them an Abcess (kind of like a boil) the doctor would lance them and pack them. Well this wasn't working they kept coming back. Sometimes more then one and getting bigger. He couldn't work for weeks at a time because he couldn't get anything inside of it and the doctor refused to allow him to work. He job was very dirty and dusty. Not to mention the spots came in places that made him hurt and hard to walk. After months and months of this he was sent to a specialist. Well it wasn't Abcess it was cyst and everytime they lanced it it grew bigger and bigger on the inside. He had more then one body area this was happening. It's been five surgerys and we still aren't sure it's all gone yet. The employer once the short term disablilty insurance ran out sent us a letter in the mail stating his job is now terminated. We went from half of his normal income to zero income. Please help us. We have always tried to help in anyway when we could. We don't want to lose everything we have so this is our last resort. It's very hard for us to ask for help. We have always worked and took care of ourself. Please pray for us and donate anything if you can. Every dollar will add up at the end of the day. I know it's just a matter of time before we get another call from the lawyer and a court date. Then we will be out. I don't know what else to do but ask and pray.
