I have decided to also donate space to a local charity for foster children. They have a lot of donations and no place to store it. See More

I am wanting to buy a storage facility that is for sale in my town. The reason to purchase is because I want to donate a portion of the units for domestic violence victims. I have seen first hand a victim of domestic violence leave their abuser and have to leave everything behind. They get help from an organization or move to a shelter and those places have no place to store their belongings. I would like to be able to offer them a place to store their things free of charge for a period of time till they can get back on their feet and get their own place. I plan on donating a minimum of 20% of the units for this cause. It also has been brought to my attention recently that my local group that helps abused kids needs storage space for donated items and I would like to give them some space also. Being a single parent I know how hard it can be to start over. After my divorce I had to do it myself. When you have very little it is hard to do. You have to repurchase everything all over again. If I could help some victims by lowering that burden for them it would be great. Too many times they leave with only what they can carry. They leave behind beds, pictures, personell items, and other furniture they could use in their new place. They may have to stay in a shelter or group home and have no place to keep the things so they have no choice but to leave it. I want to fix that. Please give what you can and if you can't give at this time then just share this with everyone you know and lets get the word out.
