Help Give Ken Coleman Back His Home (for the Holidays)
Organized by: Stephanie Corley
If you're reading this, Kenny has been a part of your life in some way. Kenny has meant a lot of things to a lot of people, and now it's time for us to do something meaningful for him.
Ken was a long haul truck driver for several years and lived in a travel trailer as his home base moved from Florida, Utah, Tennessee and Texas. He paid off his home just in time for changes to laws affecting truck drivers leaving Ken, a diabetic, unemployable in his main profession. Money was short and the belt was tightened, but Ken had his home and vehicle paid off so he was counting blessings. Ken was helping a friend by staying out at the construction site where his friend was building a house. The site had been vandalized and equipment stolen, but thieves stayed away when the travel trailer was lit up at night.
On a warm October Saturday night three weeks ago, Kenny had stayed at his girlfriend's house. Thieves stole his home, dragging it still on jacks and braces, robbing him of everything inside that had been accumulated over years. Clothes, heirlooms, dishes, guns, photos, all of it gone. A police report was filed and there have still been no leads. Insurance had expired after payments became too difficult to meet without a job. Kenny has a loan against his truck as a down payment for another small travel trailer. He still hasn't found a new job and is making money doing odd jobs. Let's help him not lose everything twice. Let's help him replace some of what he lost.
All money donated here will go directly to help Kenny once his bank account is linked up to it.
