Chris Lodgeson (check out his video and others) was homeless. Now's he's finishing his bachelor's degree, working at Bloomingdale's, and running to end homelessness for others.
Chris broke out of the isolation and depression of homelessness through a sport for Social Change program at HELP USA called Street Soccer USA, working with mentor Janice Greenwald, coach Will Mazzuto and many others.
Now Chris along with the Street Soccer USA Founder and his one time coach, Lawrence Cann, and volunteer Nell Baird will run in the New York Marathon on behalf of HELP USA, Street Soccer USA, and everyone in its network of 20 cities across the U.S.
What are they running for . . . to END HOMELESS through a program they know works. www.streetsoccerusa.org and on facebook.
In 20 cities across the United States, Street Soccer USA teaches life and job skills to the homeless youth and adults, recording a 75% success rate in moving people form the strete into job, housing, or further education.
