You're doing another IRONMAN? Yup.

What the heck is that? It's a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run - well actually IRONMAN Chattanooga is an extra 4 miles on the bike totalling 144.6 miles of swim, bike and run - all in a day's work.

So the sport of triathlon is typically a selfish sport - the time required to train to race the clock, to make a new personal record, is typically done alone. My wife makes sacrifices in order for me to be able to train and race. In that light, I want to do more than just race a clock - I want to make a difference.

Heart of the Bride was brought to my attention shortly after moving to Crestview, FL in 2015. Our church works closely with HOB and I've got quite a few friends down here that have adopted or fostered kids, domestically and internationally. So natuarally HOB has become near and dear to my heart lately.

In Isaiah, God calls us to care for the Orphans. This theme is spread all throughout the Bible so you can imagine that it's a pretty significant calling from God. Wintson Churchill said "We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give." So join me in making a difference. Whether it is $1 or $1,000, each donation makes a difference.

I've done this fundraising thing in the past and have had some amazing support from my friends and family. My goal is to have $10 for every mile I go on this race. Let's do it gang. Lets make a difference.

Ok, now I'm curious - what does my donation go toward? It goes toward building facilities and sending resources to places in Haiti, Kenya, Uganda, Ukraine, and Zambia. Multiple long term missionaries have been commissioned, many orphanage facilities have been built, our contribution base has grown from regional to national, and short term ministry opportunities have continued to multiply.

Proof that HOB is legit: They are ECFA (http://www.ecfa.org/) which means "The ECFA seal is tangible evidence to donors that a ministry is complying with the highest standards of Christian ethics in its governance, fundraising and financial accounting and reporting."
