HERE2HEAR is a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization that provides a host of free services and programs related to hearing healthcare for children and adults in the Richmond and the surrounding areas. Our mission is to prevent poor hearing health.
Here2Hear is located in Chesterfield County which is located in the southside area of Richmond, Virginia. Our mission is to prevent poor hearing health. We provide a number of free programs to include hearing screenings, community education, free to low cost hearing aids and advocacy for individuals that are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. We provide our services to individuals in the Richmond, Chesterfield, Henrico and Tri-cities areas.
Here2Hear is doing all that we can to ensure that Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals reduce communication challenges surrounding effective communication during the COVID-19 pandemic. To do this, we will be providing free Effective Communication Emergency Kits. These kits provide resources for individuals that are Deaf and Hard of Hearing with communicating effectively during this difficult pandemic. This includes communication during COVID-19 testing, with first responders and as a part of emergency preparedness. These emergency kits were designed and developed by Here2Hear, and with the guidance of individuals in the field of emergency management, Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals and first responders.
WE NEED YOUR HELP. Your donation of $10.00 and greater will help us to give one individual a kit. The kits are free to individuals that are Deaf and Hard of Hearing while supplies and funding last. We want to ensure that the most vulnerable populations receive them. We mail each kit to recipients at no cost to individuals. Please donate on Give Back Tuesday May 5th to this cause whatever amount you have. Please visit Here2Hear website for more information about our organization www.here2hear.org
